Meet Melissa: Hypnotherapist and So Much More…

Hello and welcome! I’m Melissa, and I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m currently attending the Hypnosis Motivation Institute (HMI), where I’m completing the certified hypnotherapy program and preparing to begin my second year of training to earn a degree in Mind-Body Psychology. Alongside the core curriculum, I’ve pursued additional certifications in smoking cessation, past life regression therapy, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), handwriting analysis, and hypnosis for seniors. Each of these tools has become part of a larger mission: to help others experience healing, freedom, and transformation in a deeply personal and empowering way.

But this work is more than a profession for me—it’s part of my own healing journey.

I’m a mother to 11 children. My fifth child was born with fatal birth defects and passed away shortly after birth, and my youngest died in a tragic accident. These unimaginable losses changed me at the core. I also experienced the deep unraveling of identity that came from leaving an oppressive religious lifestyle—one that shaped how I saw myself, my role as a woman, and my purpose in life. After a long and difficult divorce from a man involved in the Quiverfull movement, I found myself rebuilding everything I thought I knew.

Art, especially collage, became my sanctuary during that time. Through it, I explored grief, identity, and freedom, and I was honored to have several of my pieces shown in local art exhibits. I also co-own a fiber arts business with my second oldest daughter, and recently, I became a grandmother—one of the sweetest gifts life has offered.

As a hypnotherapist, I bring not only professional training but also lived experience. I understand what it means to question everything you’ve been taught, to sit with grief, and to carve out a new life from the ashes of the old. I’m especially passionate about working with women who are ready to break free from limiting beliefs—whether rooted in trauma, religion, or generational patterns—and step into the fullness of who they are.

My approach is compassionate, intuitive, and grounded in the belief that healing happens when we gently guide the subconscious toward empowerment, safety, and self-love.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. If you’re curious about how hypnotherapy might support you on your journey, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

Warmly,

Melissa
